And if you have a crack or pin hole in the fuel line itself BEFORE the engine it could be running along it and dropping or pooling somewhere and seeping down.

Very good point, Willy. I did have the motors tilted up for quite some time before I got around to winterizing them. It sounds like it's very likely a leak from the inside.
