Yes you want to cut the old deck all one piece if possible, or just 2 sections. It will fit right back like factory and with the least amout of work!!

All the people are giving you the right info above!

Get a Camera and start taking pic, post and all will help you along the way!! We can only do so much with out seeing it, and we are to far from your house.

Belive me if you are handy then you can do it!! With a little help from your friends, right here!

But Pictures are a must to be able to follow you.

Just don't want to make a job any difficult by not doing my homework. But I will post some pictures so you guys can check out the before. thanks

Here's another thought. Make your cut about 6" from the gunnel all the way around. If using 3/4" ply, build up the stringers by laying a piece of your 3/4 right on top of them. When you lay the new floor, lay it across the built up stringer and run it to about 2" from the gunnell, on top of the factory floor. Round over the outside edge of your new floor and you have a nice "drain channel all the way around your deck. My neighbor is a glass guy and he does most all his rebuilds this way. He also uses liquid nails to glue it down and uses drywall screws (glued and screwed) before he glasses over it.
