OTF tough call. Your going to have a lot of money in a 1973 boat. Not nessassarily a bad thing. But you do need to weigh that. And I think you are talking about a V21 aren't you for that year? And what condition is the Yamaha and hours?
Classic and pretty with new power (always great) but old and going to need more and more work as time goes on and you will never recoup your money. VS Much newer (21 years) hull and if it is the V21 a improved hull and transom arrangement with what is a very good engine with a cuddy and a lot of upgrades and electronics.
You could go either way and there would be merit in your decision, what it comes down to is which boat meets the majority of your needs, has expense to personal value edge and which makes you smile ;D

priced bracket. I like the R4!

Willy I am loosing sleep.... I could keep both but the 73 cc will be motorless and frankly my fiancee will kill me. Easy boys!!!

well I may have missed it but were are you boating??

Do you stay inshore or do you go offshore??

do you have alot of ruff water??

do you fish cold months??

IMO if you are inshore and warm area CC is good for you.
If you fish offshore and cold months with ruffer water then there nothing like a cuddy.

It sounds to me like you 5really like your boat. It would be sweet with that 140 Johnny. I say go for it, make it like you want it.

OTF, go w/ the cuddy and the 200 Yamaha, that IS the "set-up" and sell the TinMan your 73 CC,......please, the guy really needs a boat.

IMHO - In for a penny, in for a pound! Your CC is the classic cc design! Filling the transom and adding a bracket is they way to go.
I had a cuddy with an I/O and it just didn't have the space. If it had a full transom and with a bracket I'd have kept it I think.
But MJ is right, keep the boat that best fits your use - here in Fla I would keep the CC, Back in Va I would have the cuddy/ Cleared things up like mud didn't I :o

'73=no flotation :(...'95=full flotation ;D...

I LOVE the lines of the older hulls...hell I GOT one...but if I ever get an opportunity to move to a flotation hull...gone in a SKINNY MINUTE!!... ;)...

The newer boat doesn't have new enough power. If that yam was an HPDI or 4-stroke it would be a tougher choice. What if you buy the newer boat and motor goes boom in two months. With the Johnzuki you hang you don't have a worry in the world for six years. Thats my plan anyway. If I do the things I'm looking at I'll drop 15k on my boat (87) in the next two years. I've thought about it most of the time and figure that for 20K, I can't get anything better than the V-20.

Air that is a good point, but yours is an 87 with flotation, I forgot all about that little matter. Good call Rap. ;)
