The ends of the PVC are not flared? You just insert it and epoxy it in place and works good? Doesn't turn, doesn't move? Mine is in and looks good I find use 5200 so that should lock it in place I hope.brass tube made in China that I don't like.

i use epoxy on the pvc tube, I dont think 5200 will fail, I just prefer the bond of epoxy. You can sand the outward edge of the pvc tube flush with the hull. Makes a very finished looking job. Pathfinder boats use this method

Problem I see in epoxy is it does not expand and contract with heat and cold as 5200 does.
Not sure of the epoxy bond factor on the Chinese brass
5200 for anything permanent below the waterline
4200 for anything that might need replacement down the road

I’m doing the brass w/ 5200 and a bronze hull /garboard plug as the boat will be in the water full time

with the brass, I use 5200, on the pvc i use epoxy
