Reminds me of a keystone light can. Will def hurt the resale market in a few years when the used ones are all sorts of funky combinations. All black or all white with silver letters looks cool although I prefer no letters.

On another note, there's a local guy here who took a 200 ocean pro and put 250 etec cowlings on it. I think it would be cool to do the opposite and put a pair of 300s with old school johnson 150 cowlings on an old 30 scarab sport and have a sleeper.

That's a wild looking thing!

heat redistribution has been an issue with Johnrude loopers since way back, if they finally got it fixed, it took them long enough. The 90 tilt will hardly be used as most boats today don't have the room on the transom. The weight is pretty good, especially for the 300. The integral steering and redesigned clamp bracket are pretty nice as well. One thing that keeps bugging me is that its introduced as a 2014 that meets current(2013) emissions. Normally new motors meet the next emission hurdle, not the last one. that makes me think the engine is a few years behind schedule.E-tecs take a pretty good beating on resale around here, I'd hate to try and unload one of those while still making payments

It appears that they did, I can't find the link to the patent BRP applied for but one major thing that they did was not have the exhaust from each bank to exit in the same plenum. They each have their own bank. Really on these engines the only thing else I would have incorporated would have been an EGT and o2 sensors.

EGTs and o2 sensors fail a lot on newer engines. Yamaha was able to make theirs work pretty good on the OX66 motors. Honda's go thru them regularly
