Well I have started!!
The guy was not getting any gas out of the boat tank, os he started using a 12 gal portable tank.
I have removed the floor pannel in hopes to get the tank out and clean it.
Well after removing the pannel I am not getting the tank out! Its as big as a coffin and foamed in.
There are no gas smells and it looks just fine, so I am going to pump as much gas out as I can, add new gas, replace hoses while I am there and then I should be fine!
But what I think stoped the gas is the vent, wait till you see this! I have never seen a vent look like this in my life!
So I am off to the store and get some things, I will have pic later tonight!

Ok all hose replaced, new ball, new filter, I pumped the ball andf the gas flowed!!
I got 7 gal out so far and will get the rest tomorrow ;D
But before I button the cover back on I want to replace the wire for the sending unit for the fuel gage. And majke sure it works??
I am sure it won't for long, but might as well start out right ;)
Here is the vent for the gas tank

Here is the coffin other wise known the gas tank

And this is the floor above the tank, solid as a rock!!
It was made using the same small 3 X 3 squares that wellcraft uses, But then they took what looks like PVC and glassed it in as braces.

Thatys it for today, tomorrow is another day!!

Well today I got the Vent changed out and got all the gas out, 17 gals, Bone dry now!
I also washed the hole inside of the cabin and let it dry out
Cleaned out the anchor locker, 150 feet of 1/2 rope. All rope coiled up and ready for action!
Put the new battery in and was messing with the sending unit for the fuel gauge, I will see if I get it working tomorrow before I button up the floor'
Motor has no spark at all?? But since I just bought that other motor I am not to worried about it ;D
Nav lights don't work so I might play with that tomorrow?? Or I might get pissed and rip it all out and start over?? :-/

My V's nav lights were not working and I thought I was looking at
a re-wire, until I started playing with the switch.
The switch knob and shaft came right out of the housing,
I replaced the switch and now I have all nav lights.
My point being, it may just be a switch or fuse for you.

Yeah, but other things did. AND.....the motor at least turned over when wired to the battery correctly. I'm talking to him on the phone and he says the motor wont turn over. Nothing works, and when he touched a wire to ground, sparks were flying. I said that he a had a "short" to ground. Little did I know at the time he had the whole boat wired backwards. ::)
Master of Disaster for sure willy. ;D ;)
