I've done the same thing with a Spanish sausage called Chariso , I think that is how it is spelled.
Either way fit for a King or a Stinky Hooker ;D

Thanks Pipe forgot that one lol ;D and i'm dating a Yank from LI, NY. I give her a hard time about her accent. I asked why do New Yorkers say "No" after every question LOL she thought about it and had no answer said she had never noticed it but now she notices it and laughs everytime we hear it on TV lol.
Great Board example
on the fly, I'm assuming with your name you are a fly fisherman, no? You have the best layout V20 for flyfishing. The bow area is huge and nice and level, not like the mid m80's and on V20 CC's. Get rid of the bowrail and flush mount your cleats and pop up bow light. Post some pics of your boat when you get a chance.

Yessir, thats my v-20! She is currently upright and waiting for new power. Makes a closed transom and bracket seem like a good idea huh? She took it over the transom and rolled in 15 minutes - (nasty October squall).

Willy, It happend October 2005 a fall squall kicked it up to about 40+ from the west, she took it square on the stern (2 ft chop like Pamlico sound in February-real close together) she rolled in less than 10 minutes.

Whoa OTF, guess you should've backed her in huh? Course, she mighta went down anyway but I imagine it would've taken longer. I guess the brightside is that she wasn't sitting on the bottom.

You were in it moving at sea right, she was not tied off at the marina. How did she get back upright like that shot in 45minutes. I'm sorry I'm confused. You are saying a fast interval 2 foot chop swamped her and rolled her in ten minutes!

OTF, I love your boat, exactly how I would have my V20 (if I had one) layed out....mid 70's model with larger fore deck, leaning post and no bowrail or T-Top. Ever any problems with water coming over that 20" transom? Any idea on how much water she draws with the motor tilted up? If there is any possible way you could measure it, I would truly appreciate it. Thanks

He Tin, did you read all the posts in this topic
Yes, I did. I guess you mean the boat being powerless? I kind of forgot that...bet I'd like the draft readings, ;D
Franco

I was refering to the water over the transom, but I reckon you saw it
TheTinMan
02-11-2006, 02:37 PM
Yea, I did see that. I've seen a few Mako 21's where they made splash shields/transom extensions out of aluminum channel and starboard...said it made all the difference in water coming in. I'm not really looking for a project boat, but seeing OTF's rig makes me want an older V20 center. I'd really like to get an accurate draft to help me decide.
Franco

You got that right, it is the classic center console design
