Anyone been on or know anyone who has been on one of those Craig Cats. I keep seeing them when I watch the Shallow Water Angler show. What a great idea for the shallow water fisherman, fly fisherman especially. Cheap to run, easy on and off for hoping out on bars etc. will fly with a small motor and runs about $6500. I like it :)

Hey Willy, I checked those out some time ago, they look like a scream. I thought about buying one. Would be better than having you don the swim fins and snorkle in the skinny water!!

We can sell beers and alligator tails there, maybe they'll put up a Howard Johnsons to handle the tourists. Can't you see it on one of those table mats at the diner showing all the tourist spots, "Disney World, Cape Caneveral, The Everglades, Where Oz got his butt whupped"

I tried one out a few times in Ft. Lauderdale, it was a friends with a 25 HP, it was fast and the wife and I could not stop laughing while we were on it.

It handled big (4 foot) short and snotty, choppy waves just fine. It would submarine and soak us with a wall of water and then pop right back up again. Stick steering was cool and it got lots of looks.

Mucho Fun !!!

Steel I see a lot of those cats set for fishing, especially fly fishing, do you think they were that stable as they show in photos

It was fairly stable to stand on. The top of the sponsons are not that high above the water, almost like a thick plastic surfboard. More comfortable to just sit in seats and fly around on.
