How do you like this sweet ride?
My friend picked it up for $600 includ trailer.
1969(?) I/O in almost perfect shape.
That IS the original factory top.
My wife says it is cute, it looks like a toy boat.

I had a 15' trihull and it would slam, but not if you put some people up front. This one looks like all the weight is near the front already, so its probably a decent ride.

Even with all the weight up front, still slams over wakes.
He doesn't take it in the bay, unless the bay looks like glass.
Only thing we really have to watch for are the cowboys
that come flying into the inlets with the big boats that create huge wakes.
Water comes over the front, been soaked twice already.
Not looking for babes, both of us happily married, anyway, mostly get looks and salutes from guys who appreciate classics.

Interesting. The boat has an Evinrude insignia at the front. Did Evinrude produce that boat? Also interesting that it would be an I/O. Did/does Evinrude produce I/O's? Just curious. I would have expected one of their outboards on the boat...

Yes, it was made by Evinrude.
I know it is a V-6, I/O, but I am not sure if it is an Evinrude.
I'll be talking to him this weekend, and find out the particulars.
