Well, if you can go as far as Cape May, there is that cool little resturant on the canal there that has the best seafood around, and at great prices.

Me, Parrisht, C.Y. and Airslot could take the ferry over. I would say take the V's over, but dont think they have enough free dock space for us. ;D

Mulv also goes as far south as Wildwood, maybe he can go just a few more miles south and meet us there as well. ;D We should try and do it early summer, maybe June.

Resturaunt in Cape May is called the Lobster House.
There is enough parking for all our V's, but it fills up fast.

Traffic is a nightmare if we drive there.

The only really bad traffic period on the Delaware side is the two weeks around July 4th.

Early June sounds good for me,
I will be down every weekend starting May 5th until July 16th,
then I have to go to Ca. for two weeks.

It is a shame Irish Eyes burned,
HAMMER I keep forgetting the name of the other restuarant and bar that is right next to IE
up by old hookers B & T.

That would be a good place, I go there for bloody mary breakfast sometimes.

I'm easy, if you are doing the V's towing and launching etc. Cape May is tough but nice. Though I know almost sqaut about fishing off a boat there. Only go there for family vacations and I fish off the surf. Never been very good on the surf there, especially later in the summer.

Cape May is good for me.

My wife spent most of her chilhood there,
her family used to own a bar and houses there.
So when we were dating and in our early married years,
we always spent summer vacations in Cape May.

Sadly to say, the bar burned down in the 60's
and all the houses sold for peoples retirement funds.

Here is a picture from last year,
We took my son and his fiance to see the area and we met up
with my wifes cousin at the Lobster House.
This is one of the biggest lobsters I have ever seen, in person.
There were bigger ones in the tanks too.
Her cousin has a trailer right near Digbee beach.

I love Cape May, I spent a lot of my childhood there also. I used to stay at the MT.Vernon motel down at the end of the stip. And I know exactly where that above photo was taken parishht. I have been there.

We know them as Cape May Diamonds, picked them up for years at sunset beach.
My whole family would rent houses and rooms at the Jetty or Vernon among others and do a family week there every year.
This is the first year where it looks like it might fall apart for the whole family doing it. Don't know for sure. :-/

If guys are towing the V's to fish most will be coming from the Delaware side right, so it would be an easier tow to Lewes or thereabouts.
Cape May can be pricey for rooms and dockage but the fishing in the rips should be good?
Don't know enough about Lewes area other than it's pretty, less expensive and still good for fishing, plus Lefty lives there ;D so it must be nice
Plus some guys should probably consider arranging some additional time especially if they are towing there to maybe stay a couple of days extra.

Hopefully this site might help. They are the rooms at teh University of Delaware. Nobody really knows about them. They cant advertise as a motel/hotel without being stuck with paying taxes and such I was told today.
Its in town, but not in the heart of things. The cost is 100 bucks a night. Check in is at 3pm and check out is 11 am. Phone# 302-6454103

Now if you are looking for something right in town, there is teh Beacon and a few others. Coulnt get prices because they have not opened yet. I'll keep ya all posted on teh rooms as they start to open.

The BEACON Motel right on Savannah Rd. Just before teh bridge. They have a pool as well. Will cost a bit more though a $150.00 I think.

The Beacon should have a site. The beacon is also maybe 3 blocks from my house. We can meet at the Beacon or at my place. I plan on doing lunch I guess on the grill, unless we are on the beach relaxing from my house, or at the point fishing. We can fish from my house, but there are special times posted for surf fishing on the beach. We can always night fish for awhile with a bonfire. Will be checking on the Beacon soon enough by Wednesday.

They are usually not that full.

So whats the consensus, do a half day or full day charter on Sunday, hang out on the beach and surf fish or cruise the area in a couple of V's in the afternoon.

Saturday get together early and do some fishing and hanging out with the ladies on the beach or whatever they like. Do a dinner, either at a place or do a barbecue somewhere where we can all contribute and do a bar for a bit and hit the beach at night with a fire some surf poles and loose women :o
and hang out for awhile.

Wouldnt worry about doing a charter, the big boats that run all the time, simply just walk on and pay. Now my god friend has a big old wooden boat. Nothing fancy, but he would glad take us out for a few hours.

Saturday would be good to get everyone in town, relax, eat drink, lay on the beach with the women, cast out a few lines, check out the V's that do come. Help work on mine. ;D Do the night life at a bar, dinner at place on the grill or go out.

Baltimore is the cheapest, closest to Lewes.
Then Philadelphia, easier drive from here.

I have had to do both on occasion.
I use Philly cause I don't pay for the tickets,
but when my kids come in from Ca., BWI it is.

As far as the CEO's, when they find out about the Rehoboth outlet shopping,
we will be free for hours.



Just checked, a ticket from Mobile to Baltimore is about $375
ticket from San Francisco to Baltimore is about $425

Now I know a few other good friends who owns boats that are faster and nicer, but Bill has been good to me. One son is a Coast Guard LT. and his other two son's are cops. His boat only does maybe 9 knots maybe a little more. he bought the boat in the 60's I believe, rebuilt the whole boat. He is a votect teacher"retired"
He recovered the engine from a shipwreck and he and his students rebuilt the engine at school with teh help of his students. Not sure what he charges for a 4 hur trip. Maybe 20 bucks a head plus tipping the mate ??
Prices are differnt when I dive off his boat.

The closet one in town to my house would be the Beacon Motel. Three to 4 blocks from my house. They have a pool as well. But the price is about $135.00 a night. The college is still in town but farther away from all the attractions but at 100 bucks a night.
