To my fellow brothers in Blue, in the morning it's me against the the city. The city filed a unfair labor practise against us because I refused to sign our new contract.
I refused to sigh off on the new contract because they tried to slide in deductables on our medical insurance.
I'll be the only officer testifying on behalf of the officers, so the outcome is on my shoulders and my shoulders alone. :-/
Wish me luck and hopefully I can win the hearing that is being heard by the Public Employment Relation Board.

Good luck Hammer! You will be victorious in the end even if they win....I admire anybody that stands up to injustice (is that a word?). I went to court once and got blown away by a sissy azz da with a doo doo eating grin and her lez judge friend - also wearing a doo doo eating grin the whole time. I still felt like I won something. I did not want to plead guilty to something I didn't do even if it meant more points on my drivers licence.

Well, I hit 6000 post and te site didnt vrash. So that must ba an omen that teh hearing went well. The hearing lasted about 3 hours. Of course, my stand was teh city lied and neither side had a clear meeting of teh minds as to the medical Insurance. I testified to everything except to one question. We had alot of public support along with our wives show up. Wont get an answer back till at least November. After the hearing, most of teh persons in teh room said I did well, and a few stated I didnt do well, but they are teh one's that always complain, but never step up to the plate.
So now the wait is on.
