Did I read somewhere that vacuum cleaner hose has been used for wire loom connecting all the cables and stuff to your outbard. Show me some pics if you can, I want to do this to mine.

Yup. I did it to my V20 CC and MJ has it on his setup. Works well. 8)

Can you guys post some pics? How does it hold up to the sun?

Another subject: Let me tell you how silly I feel about this steering. I now have the steering setup where the cable screws to the tilt tube and a steering rod comes back to the steering arm on the motor. I can't believe that it took me getting a new motor to change my steering, but I didn't know any better (this being my first boat).
I went over to check out Whopper55 's V-20 and saw his setup on his late model Evi. and thought, wow that's sweet, is that how they are doing it these days. Come to find out, that's how most of them are.
I had the set up with a transom mounted bracket that clamped around an alluminum pipe that the cable screwed to. This is not as clean a setup IMHO. I figured I would share this in case there is someone else out there that does know any better also.

Shicks, the vac hose works great!!...thought I had a better pic, but here's what I got...you'll have to disconnect everything to run it all back thru the hose...get the larger hose; I think it's 2'' or bigger...

Instead of disconnectin' mine, I split the hose down one side, installed it and put black zip-straps every 6'' or so...should have disconnected wires/ cables...would be better... ;)
