My son has that boat and the problem is first the fuel fill is in the stern and the vent is on the port side by the stern, when he fills it up with gas and parks his boat in his driveway he keeps the bow higher then the stern, when it's hot out the fuel tank expands and pushes the deck up and cracked the access plate It's not venting, the vent and line are new When he opens the fuel cap all the are comes out So why is she not venting? I would like yo know and do would he Thanks for any help in this Mather

Can you blow through the vent line? Make sure your neighbors aren't watching.

The laws of physics are absolute. If it's not venting then there is something that is preventing it from doing so. If at all possible run a length of wire through the vent hole to pierce whatever is blocking the line. If that doesn't work and you have a compressor then remove the gas cap so you don't pressurize your gas tank and then use an air gun at the end of the airline to try blowing high pressure air through the vent line. Presuming that it used to vent then my guess is that a bug of some kind has built a home in your line over the winter and it's now blocking it.

The vent line is not blocked cause it pushed the gas out of it, when the tank expanded, I think the vent line gets blocked by gas when the now is higher than the stern, but that's so the water would run off the back, is there a gas cap that is vented? I would like to know if anyone else had this issue going on I think a vented gas cap would solve the problem but do they make one? I D K Thanks

Which end of the tank is the fill & vent on? Should be on the bow end next to fill and pickup in stern.

My only guess is it may have a vent that closes when liquid enters it. A vent normally will just let gas come out if you overfill it, but I don't know if new vents may close off when liquid enters them to prevent fuel spillage. All of my past boats would just push gas out the vent if they were overfilled.

Phat I believe the vent and fill are by the stern of the tank And we can't get to the tank, there is no access to it , not like my wellcraft where I can take the panel up So I don't know if and how to fix the pfoblem

well, there's your problem

You have to cut the deck open to get to it, hence why most go back with deck mounted tanks.

What I think they did was build the boat around the fuel tank, Idiots You and me know tanks don't last forever nothing last forever I don't want to cut the deck especially since it's not my boat

I'd lot rather cut someone else's than mine....

my neighbor had a 15 key west with the same vent issue. like ferm said, they just put a deck tank under console.
