Just picked up a 1975 17 fisherman, i believe is what the model is. It has a 2000 90 2-stroke merc. Moves pretty good :)

My questions are... Does anyone have or know where to get a copy of the coast guard rating tag? And also this one has the fuel tank inside the console. Is that how they came factory or did they originally have one under the floor like most boats? If this is factory can anyone tell me what size it is?

Thanks,
Ross

Do you have an original to take a picture of? If so, here's someone that is used here for several of the decals:

If you don't have one anymore, maybe someone here could snap a photo for you. Can't help with the rest.
Welcome to the crowd!

I think you'll be hard pressed to find any info. Not a lot of 17's around the site as far as I know. I actually went into the history section and looked up the 1975 catalogue to see if they even made a 17'. I know someone here recently said capacity plates are important in their neck of the woods (Great Lakes) I think?, but unless you have that kind of issue I wouldn't even give it a second thought.

Can't help with the fuel tank question of whether or not the console mounted one is original but as far as capacity of the console mounted one if you can get a tape measure on it you can figure it out. LxWxH (in inches) /1728 x 7.48

Welcome! I've seen either a catalog in the history section or an ad on Ebay for a 17 before.
