This guy i know has one of these units used he wants to sell, I've seen it, it works fine was wondering if you guys think it would work on the V20 and if i could make it work on my pontoon boat, or whatever. He would sell it for $400, new i guess is around $800 to 900. always in sept. when a a/c unit becomes available... good deal or not ?.... Z

i think it would work on the v20 but it would take alot of BTU's to cool down that huge cabin.

I know , i know its not a huge cabin, just wondering with the sliding hatch if it would work and if it sounds like a good or bad deal... Thats all. was thinking couple of different uses, pontoon boat , maybe even in a van roof top, hell when power goes out (hurricane )maybe use this with a generator for a kitchen window. Z

I'd look on eBay and see about getting one even cheaper. But you'll probably still have $400 in it after adding shipping.
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work fine.

It would probably work fine, but if your concern is cooling a V20 this is all you will need:

yea what a waste!! A v20 is so small, why would you bother?

Well I wasn't going to say that since I know Zebra realizes how small the V20 is.
I wish there was a way to air condition one with full enclosure while underway on those really hot days when you want to stay dry. That's the perdicament. I don't want to have to use my curtains on hot days but sometimes with bumpy seas and winds having the curtains in is the only way to stay dry.
I know what you are gonna say - roll the windows up, but that only helps a little.

Yes if he was cooling the whole thing then I could see it, but not just the under.

The V20 was only one thing, i was thinkin about other uses maybe, but hey you could put up the front, side and back curtains and plug it into a honda 2000 generator and we are talking overnight trips. The generator could sit in the engine well for vent. Or plug it into dockside power... Just another toy... I know a guy that bought one of those things that go over a cooler with ice in it that pulls cold air up, it sucked, never did work.
I'm watchin 3 on ebay now... dont need it just been offered to me... thanks for the idea about ice tray and fan, stinky.... Z

Hey Zebra, you know we could just move up to Canada or Alaska...heating the V20 is not a problem with a small propane heater. ;D

Well i passed on the a/c unit. one less thing to collect dust... It's gotta get cooler down here sometime soon. Weatherman says 69 tonight, think that's the first night in the 60's so far.
Blue, ive used those little propane heaters but in a golf cart, you know when we get down in the 50's. But takin a trip to the north sounds good, maybe load my V on the Amtrack train and go see the boys in the NE. Z

Heck if it would get cool enough Id run around in the yard at night naked. Nothin like a good clean flap in the breeze to cool ya down. 8)
