Default hull year id#?

just bought the v20, it'll be in my driveway with a new prop on tuesday for me to detail and drop in. the question is, the previous owner stated it was a 1973, but the model # on the hull reads WELB1455M791-V20. the "79" leads me to believe it is a '79, especially since that's what year the od and motor are. can anyone confirm or deny my assumptions?
i can't really tell from pictures what the differences are as far as hull layout and whatnot. there are two teak boxes in the deck side by side fore of the motor, and there are two hatches in the transom, if that helps anything. either way, i'm stoked about my new ride. thanks for the help.

Call them and they will be able to tell you!!
I didn't get were you are from?? If you buy this boat how are you going to reg. it?? Most places say you have to have a title for anything over 14' ? Maybe your state doesn't make you have a title? But I would ask the old owner if he has it!

Good Luck!!

i be from joisey. thanks fer the help, i emailed wellcraft already. yes, i recieved a title, which also says 1979, but the guy listed and spoke of the boat as a '73. i didn't want to tell him the boat was six years newer than he thought, i figure it's "caveat venditor", dig. hull physically good, the motor runs pretty strong, outdrive seems ok (needs prop, but marina is taking care of that while they have the boat) and i paid only a grand, so i figure i owe the boat some money. i'm going to tune her up (it's like a car motor, right? ;)), replace whatever's obvious, detail and teak her out, and catch fish. i also ended up with a free outdrive with prop out of his shed. i think it's early-mid seventies according to the #'s on it, but don't think it'd fit. the prop might, i'll recon it and use it as backup.
