Has anyone done this? I opened my fuel hatch and found the 1.5" filler neck line has what looks to be surface dryrot. Would that warrant a replacement or is this normal? I have the in floor tank on a 85 steplift.

i changed mine a couple of years ago, pain in the tukas, but doable. i also did the vent while i was at it. what happened on mine is the rubber broke down and exposed the steel wire inside the filler hose. it came in contact with the aluminum filler neck and ate a hole on the underside of the neck. if i remember right, taking out the rod box made it a lot easier.

You might consider replacing them anyway due to the problems associated with ethanol.
The 1 1/2" is running around $9 a foot so don't be surprised.

thats the best way!! then its done while you are there and before you want to fish, nothing like a break down when you want to be doing something else!

The vent line is just that... The line doesnt look bad, should that be done also? Is it necessary? I verified that its not blocked either

The vent is not as important but I would change also!! If that were to go bad it can mess things up bad! My boat when i got it the PO said tank was no good, after removing the floor cover and cleaning out the tank it was still messed up? After further research the vent cover was rotted to a big clump of white crap, so not working. after that It has always worked great!
So yes replace all while your in there and cross that off the list!

I agree MJ!
Might as well replace the hose clamps too. I know how easy it is to turn into a Tar Baby. And aren't we required to double clamp each of the hoses?

These are all single clamped... I'll do it all then... I only want to be in here once.

I would start with new Fill, Vent and Supply lines.
