Default Super Clean One Owner 78' V20 on Trailer

Hello again V20 fans. . . Sorry for the re-post, but this really is a different opportunity now. . . I am going to do the best I can to make a VERY LONG STORY relatively short. The same boat, motor (not so much the same) and trailer package that I recently posted here (a few threads down) and was asking $5200 for, may now be available for far less in project state or simply w/o power (outboard conversion anyone?). My money making scheme (LOL) to flip this boat for a profit has turned into an absolute nightmare. Last week, I had the boat sold for a fair price until it hydro-locked during the sea trial and the starter failed. Despite the new power in this boat with only 132 hours since new in 2001, the Mercruiser One-Piece Exhaust manifolds that are no longer available due to problems with reversion failed (beyond any inheritant reversion problems) and caused damage to the motor. I am now at a cross road with putting more money into the boat to replace the manifolds and re-fresh all of or the top half of the 4.3 Vortec V6. I am considering the sale of the hull and trailer with no power and would then part out the rest of the dissassembled 4.3, the stern drive, etc.... This is an amazingly clean boat with a solid transom and it would sure be a shame for it to not see the water again....I would be in the neighborhood of $1700 for the complete hull on the trailer less power & some controls...I have $3,000.00 invested at this point in addition to numerous hours. Let's find someone that wants to put this baby back into action. . . I have the original bill of sale for when this boat was purchased new right here in Key Largo back in 1978, Original 1978 Clear Florida Title and the hull is nearly spotless. I am having trouble posting pics again, but you can see a few in the previous thread of mine. I am going to work on a photo gallery in the coming days in which I will post on Florida Keys Craigslist (my old post still shows on CL if you search V20). If you are interested or want to know more about how I got to this point, please feel free to e-mail me direct [email protected] or call Bob (305) 853-7077. I will do my best to check back in here as well. Thanks!

Default VA is not so far. . .

Thanks for your comments. There is a possibility that I would have an opportunity to p/u another boat for a friend of mine in MI in the coming weeks. If you might really be interested, there is the possibiliity that I could deliver (or meet you in route) in route to MI if we agreed to all the right terms. Email me direct with your info if you want and I will keep you abreast of these plans. . . Thanks! Bob [email protected]

Default Sold!

I sold the boat with the dissassembled power today to a very nice gentleman and his family. I took a loss on this one, but am happy to see someone who is excited about the project have this great boat and wish him the best for a succesful rebuild followed by many memories on the water. Thanks for the opportunity to post here. Maybe Peter will be on the forum soon. . . Bob
