Default What is the reference to install a platform

I bought a platform and i dont know where do i have to put it on the transom.

to know where i have to bolt it to the transom 2 possibilities.

1.... Go to the lake and take a mark when the V will be on the water.

2 ... Is asking you where you put it

welll ... guess what

The second option will be faster to me

Ok ,

For those of you who want to help me....

From the bottom of the transom ( from the lower section under the engine ) how high is the platform ?

If you have a picture, it will be nice to see it.
I will put the platform on the right side ( driver side )

Thank's

Leave the boat in the lake overnight. Pull it out the next day. You should have a nice scum line showing exactly where the water line is!

Seriously, I've never installed one but sounds like you are on the right track. Seal those bolts up good with some 5200. Use a backing plate on the inside if possible.

Leaving for home now....if I can remember I'll throw a tape measure on it and get back to you tonight.....

by the way....your english was nearly perfect on this post!!

edit...here is a pic of mine that just shows the edge of the platform, it looks to be about 4-5" below (100-125cm for the rest of the world) below the cut out of the transom.....will get you a better dimension hopefully tonight.
