so I was talking to BS tonight and found that like you guys said the p & W is choke on omc, but the i have a merc switch and have a yellow and black wire, and that is the choke on merc so I am going to hook it up this weekend and see what happens.

I did not know that I had the wrong switch till today ??? ;)

See if you can get a drawing on the switches positions as to what the terminals (or wires) are.
Compare "off", "start", "run" and "choke" to the drawings in this thread.
That merc switch may not be compatible.

Good luck on it.
The only info I can get on that switch is "factory color coded wires" (for merc). :-/

As stated above I now know that the Yellow with black tracer is choke, so I tested it with a tester and it lit up fine!

So I hooked it up and stil nothing??

I went back to the motor and looked around to find that the wire rotted off the selnoid.

I striped it back and told my son to push the key while I held the wire to the screw, I hear the choke click!
I added a new connector and screwed it on.

went up turn the key pushed choke just turned? I pushed the warm up leaver up a bit turned the key pushed the key for choke and Bam started right up!

Another problem soloved with the help of my V20 brothers!!

Thanks everyone!! And tusbaki for sticking in there with all the pictures and stuff!! ;)
