He clearly miscalculated the importance of Biden’s incompetence and weakness and the risk of other countries and congress members of both parties pressing the administration to act against him.

Typical of our dishonest “news” sources, there’s a lot we don’t know about the Ukrainian situation. Talking with a friend who’s half Russian, half Ukrainian and ALL American, and has family there now, the bottom line is that this is a huge mess and unnecessary, given the diplomatic avenues that were available to resolve it peacefully.
