rmb, there is hose that goes on the top barb to your carbs. i think it might be vacuum related. hope the following pics help.

The first picture of your last post, were you say " there is hose that goes on the top barb to your carbs" your thermostats is were your thumb is pointing. See the sensor wire to the alarm.

run it first without any see if it fix's the problem like MJ said. then replace if it runs good with none. that was the location you posted in those pics i had an old V4 140 that ran hot all the time with t-stats but ran fine without so you can guess it i took them out never had the first problem.

it might be some sort of a pcv valve ???
The poppet valve is located underneath the bottom of the powerhead on the intermediate housing. you have to remove the lower cowling pan to access it. |
