Just spoke with my X tonight she is having trouble doing the color seperations off the one page photo art , without the original art seperations it is a problem. The original printer has the art work he should give it to us , it's been paid for already and it's this web sites property. She says she can do photo copy prints on white shirts only with this art work , they will be exactly the same as the art work but wont go on color shirts . I am in a quandry now what should I do ??

Easy, GW, may want to brush up on copyrights. I used to own a V-20 and was a regularly contributing member. I did all the design work and took on the shirt projects to support the site and online community. None of it was commissioned, I didn't release it or surrender rights to it, and it's been my intellectual property since. By gentlemen's agreement (and it's probably in a ToS somewhere) as a site member and supporter, I've given use of it and all my designs freely to the owners and administrators. Sorry to fire back, but that was a shot across my bow to bring up ownership and suggest I'm witholding something that isn't mine.

So anyway, ahoy gents. I truly feel bad that I haven't been able to do anything with this. On top of everything else keeping me from working on it, I'm now coaching my daughter's all-star softball team and we are on the verge of going to the state tournament and have a good shot at getting to the regional tournament. I'm pretty sure I'll fall even further behind, so I'm going to step out of this project and here's what I'll do. As response to the 3-boat design has been as good as any, I will send this graphics file to Joe and Oz' to forward as needed to make the anniversary t-shirt design. You're free to edit and add elements and source the printing elsewhere so you can get these done. Sorry for gumming up the works. I wanted to do the design and printing because I think that would've increased any margin that could be kicked back to the site to keep the lights on, but certainly didn't intend to delay the process. Hopefully doing this will get you back on track to have a successful sale.

Thanks,
Ches'

You're golden as far as I'm concerned Chesapeake. I sometimes feel like I dont have time for this simplest things. Appreciate everything you've done so far on these shirts.

Thanks Ches!! I am sorry all seems to be out of control! I really wish you could do this as you have always done so and the shirts are great!! But I understand that you are a busy busy guy! We will wait for you, but if you rather pass it on this time we will give GW a try. I am sure he meant no argument with his statement!! Just looking out for the site and trying to get this done for us! Emil me the design you want us to use and we will get it done, also can you send me your mailing address again as when my computer died I lost all the address.

Thanks Joe!

Considering all you've done in the past, it's clear what your feelings and intentions are about the site and the members here...and like MJ said, I'm sure Wolf meant no harm or accusation...as much as we hate to lose you to this effort, I for one am ready to move on w/your gracious offer, pass the art along to wolf's X and get on with it...Wolf..I hope you are OK w/Ches' offer and all MJ and I have put forth...please let us know if not and we'll work it all out...all anybody's wantin' outta this is some shirts.

Ches, when you can, please go ahead and forward the art to MJ as you suggested. Unless there is a need for me to have it, MJ can just shoot it straight to Wolf...unless, MJ, you want me to also have it as backup...

Let's ROLL...

Sorry Ches I didn't understand you were doing the art, I thought some outside vender was giving us the run around. My X is still going to be busy about 3 weeks before she can do them , If you still want to do them that will be fine with me , since we will be waiting either way again sorry for the misunderstanding

GW - I probably let a little of the frustration of not being able to get to this come through in my reply, so my apologies as well if my tone was kinda d!ck-y. Let's still go with your source as at this point it'd be better for all involved to take the sure thing at three weeks or so, over me saying I'll do my best to do it in less time and then not delivering (again). Tempting as it is to try for some redemption, I better just sit this dance out. I will send the file to Reel' and MJ tonight. It'll be a Corel 11 file so hopefully it should be nice and easy for your 'ex to add/edit and do the pre-press for.

Good luck with the t-shirt project, everybody!
Will
