skools,

about the temps. I just got an '86 Yamaha V6 Special (220HP ?) and one side runs hotter than the other. One side is warm and I can keep my hand on it while the other is too hot to hold for more than 5 seconds. I used an infrared thermometer on it and it was around 90 degrees on one side and 150-160 on the other. I was guessing the 90 was a stuck open T-stat. I haven't had a chance to dig into it yet but am I guessing wrong?

The 90 sounds to cold and the 150-160 sounds to hot. I know my SUZUKI uses a 118 t-stat.

hey Talley is that the temps on water hose? if so it will run much cooler on a hose, due to water is cold out of the tap but on a hose it should be around 85 to 95 on temps that 150's will kill your motor in short time, change the t-stats before running again.

well after some work here she is

i sanded the inside floor and washed down then masked off the sides. put the paint in my shaker an added non-skid then put in shaker again, yeah the floor is done see pics what ya think?

Outside

notice i masked around the floor drains as well

Here's the floor hatch painted

installed floor access and 5200'ed

(notice how i notched the floor so the access is flush so it doesn't become a toe stumper)

I just wish I had the money to buy this boat in the end!! Nice size boat, Like the Dual console but with the full windshield, you know its all new and ready to go!!

GreaT Job Skools, I am sure there will be no issues on the 9th!! Except cleaning her up for sale, unless you decide to keep it that is!

What in the world are you talking about by saying you hope we don't mind if you start another restore thread??? Buddy, we can't wait!!! ;D

Really, I can't wait to see what you're gonna do to that V.

Skools, that 21 is sick man! Or as our Boston boys would say, "It's wicked sexy" ;) Nice paint work bro. I like the decisions you made in determining where to apply the non-skid and where not to. Looking good...
