If Stinky will, I will.

I grew up in the 60's, so you know I've done a lot more than pot, but it's been awhile. Personally, I think drugs should be legalized, it would solve a lot of problems. The tax revenue alone would be tremendous. Crime would go way down. The cost savings on the legal system would make it worth it. For those that say they have to protect their children and that somehow making drugs illegal helps in some way, well....you need to get your head out of the sand. I live in a very rural area (average town around 300) and I could get just about any imaginable drug without traveling 10 miles and I don't personally know any dealers. I'm 58 yrs old and I've seen a number of lives destroyed by drugs (including a few people very close to me) and I still say, legalize it.

I always like the arguement of people back in the 60's and 70's use. Remember when you were in high school how easy a joint was to get, but how hard a beer was to get? Legalize it and then it's usage will go down. Once the FDA gets in control it will cost so much nobody could afford it.

Yeah, lets legalize drugs and we can use all the tax money to pay for everyones rehab stays, taking care of the crack babies, paying for all the peolpe hurt and killed by drug impaired drivers, we can send checks to the people who wont go to rehab so they dont have to work, pay for their health care when their bodies give out.

I think legalizing it will solve all the problems, it works just fine with alcohol. Well, as long as you don't count the 16 to 18 thousand people killed by drunk drivers each year in the US, not to mention the ones that are only crippled in the crash.

Whether they are legal or not, drugs, including alcohol and nicotine, cost us all a lot of money (directly or indirectly) that we could spend on our boats instead.

I need a drink after that.

Isn't that what we're already doing?

Whether they are legal or not, drugs, including alcohol and nicotine, cost us all a lot of money (directly or indirectly) that we could spend on our boats instead. That's why I don't smoke, use illegal drugs and only drink on occasion. I simply don't think making it illegal solves anything. As far as pot goes, I think it's less dangerous than alcohol or ciggs.

I need a drink after that.
