I've taken my boat out twice after installing NFB steering and I'm really glad that RAP stayed on my a double s about it cause I was originally going to go with regular (non NFB) steering.
As the song goes, "Now I'm a beleiver..." It is so nice. They shouldn't even make the other kind for us non-hydrolic affordin' folks. There was a $30 difference, so as of right now I paid $15 the first outing and $15 for the last outing to have the NFB luxury. I'm tellin ya, it is great for going around curves and coming out of the hole. Like RAP said, you don't even have to have your hands on the wheel! That'll be cool with the wife in there :o 8) ;D

The steering system came in on thurs and I just got it installed fri afternoon. We had opening day of little league and I didn't get to run it today, but tomorrow I'm gonna try it out.. So far the only disadvantage that i have found is you can't turn the motor from the rear of the boat. You have to get up in the boat and use the steering wheel. One advantage is when your sitting on the stern with the motor tilted up and the boat rocks, you won't get a steering shaft rammed into your ankle..

when ever I do mine over i will go that route!! But for now i like taking my hands off the whell and start doing circles! :o
Really mine goes pretty darn good for feed back syatem I drive no hands all the time. Glad you like it!! your all set now baby!! I am going Tuesday to see about the LineX for my deck!! ;D

BR...I think we just hit on WHY nfb was developed in the first place...crackin' that COLD one...priceless... 8)...

reel, you should have been there when I first put the bracket on and went for a test run!!!
I was going WOT and I said to my dad who was on the cell phone "lets see how this thing is in the turn!!" Well I whiped that thing to the right, at WOT and it pulled out of my hands! I was on the floor all the way at the back of the boat faster then $hit!! The phone went one way I went the other. Now the boat is going where ever FAST with No one driving!! :o So I get up and try walking to the bow, it was tuff!! But I got there slamed the control in to nutural and BAM right into the windshield!! My nose has never been the same!! ::)
