Ran with the hydraulic steering 1st time Saturday, and can report:

1. Eliminated torque steer - even when turning from start and accelerating together.
2. Holds course much better, no tendency to turn to starboard.
3. More turns of the wheel full right to left........no big deal but may add the knob on wheel.

I have an integrated knob on the wheel. I don't think I could live without it. Especially when docking, loading on the trailer, etc.

Yes all except for the fact that the steering knob is rarely in the same place twice. Hydraulic steering allows for a lot of slipping in the pump mechanism so the wheel does not center as many of you already know... Love the suicide knob on both my boats and the cheap knock-off's (NON-EDISON) work nice too...

I bought Kevlar Hydraulic hose while on the moon, Second worst fear is putting a hook thru it whilst fishing---Firstmost - Sea TOW! Rut Row!!!

Well I'm glad to know that slippage is common cause I thought maybe the reason my knob didn't stay in the same position is becuase air in the system....which I know I have some. There's some good bleeding vids on youtube, especially the one that allows you to do it alone. Planning on that for post season.
