well i did a gear check today. looked them up found out the old 85 Wagoneer has a Dana 44 front and rear with posi and 3.31 gears. Has 4.2 straight 6, 3 speed auto trans, vaccum control transfercase.
The old 92 i'm take the 4.0 HO motor, 4 Speed overdrive trans, and full manual transfercase out of has Dana 35 rear, 30 front *with 3.91 gears and it got 19 to 21 MPG so with 3.31 gears and the new 4 speed auto overdrive it should get around 26 to 28 i hope on MPG. First Wagoneer to get good fuel mileage.

Hey,
Has anyone ever converted a Jeep 6 cylinder Distributor to a GM HEI Distributor from a 250 six banger? I read about it on a jeep site sounds like a great idea to make hot fire and a known good GM ignition.
