Thanks cfelton, good luck to you as well!! 5 weeks out and I'm feeling like my self I think. Doing a rediculous amount of walking in the local parks, only the ones on the water of course! I just can't walk around my block anymore ,(I'd rather stick pins in my eyes !! ) Left foot is getting some minor swelling though.and I just got another dose of the gel injections in both knees day before yesterday, the pain is easing up in those a bit so that's a plus as well . Wife got me one of those grabber things because it's going to be another two weeks before I can BLT bend lift or twist, this thing is great ,it's crazy the things you can pick up with it, because believe me everything just falls on the floor it seems. Have a good weekend guys, hope everyone's getting some boating in before it gets to unpleasant.

Wellcraft20step,I just read your post, sorry I didn't respond sooner, I usually don't look past the repair section. I know that must suck staying home for three months but the time will fly by.now is a good time to go thru your boating supply's and your fishing tackle, hang in there and get well soon.

Cool

Good to hear about your progress John. Won't be all that long before you are 100%. Don't push yourself too much, just enough to help speed the healing. Plenty of time to boat and fish once you're healthy.

Thanks guys, step you must be reading my mind, I have pulled out every rod that I own and I've been going through them one by one and making a list of the guides that I need for repairs and I've ordered the thread colors that I need if I didn't already have them. I have re-spoiled just about every real that I have with fresh line .it's definitely passing sometime!

Hi guys, just figured I'd update some. 9.5 weeks post op, feeling pretty darn good I'm in physical therapy 3 days a week and this facility is good , so good in fact that I actually never remember my back feeling this pain free in my adult life. The PT office is owned by the same practice that did my surgery so the communication is rite on which I really like. But the best thing about being home is I've been able to take my grand children to and from school and spend lots of time with them, they love it too, a couple are in middle school and get a bus, and 3 in elementary school that I drive. The middle school bus stop is one block from the elementary school so we all meet in front of the elementary school and I take all 5 of them to 7/11 for slurppy's and candy. I send them home on a sugar hi. My daughters get furious with me but what the hell rite? Hope you all are doing well.

Glad you.re still doing good! Hope all you fellas are dong good. My back is doing ok as well. Had to take a few Tramadols lately, noticed that if I lift something heavy or stay on my feet too much it gives me some trouble. Doing ok for 60 years old though. My son in law, 33, is back in the hospital in bad shape. His liver and kidneys have shut down. His blood acid level has gotten out of control now and he's almost unconscious most of the time. Don't know if he'll pull through this time. Please say a prayer for him! Thanks!
