The pivoting roller only takes ~5" and three bolts and you don't need a pulpit. You could store the anchor in place with a clip or removable link and only hook up the chain when you use it. Store the chain & rode in the cuddy.

A centerline cleat would be nice but if you don't have room you can use the cleats you have for you bow lines.

Also,If you pay for a dock buy the foot, sometimes they charge you for the extra foot or two of pulpit but they won't charge for just the roller...

If you are not going to store the anchor in place, all you need is a roller like the one on macojoe's pulpit. Mount it where your Nav light is and then mount separate red & green lights.

Hey Skunk........did you see the pic I provided ?

Roller idea I agree......may be the easiest solution. Not sure if the chain would roll across it though. It's 1/2 " rode and much thicker chain.

I strictly trailer so dock fee not an issue. Since I don't anchor much maybe just a stainless chain will be sufficient. Less but not completely eliminate risk of scratching the gel coat when bringing it in.

Thanks

well then just drop and retrieve the anchor from the side of the boat.

I use a 6'4" nineteen year old, handles the anchor duties great.
