Hey Willy, talked to a couple guys at the bar and this topic came up. One used to work for LMI Engineering which does a lot of contract work for Gulfstream. He highly recommended your son apply there as a lot of people that have worked there have gone on to work at Gulfstream. Sort of gets their foot in the door a lot easier.

If he is not against possibly relocating, the Boeing plant in Seattle Washington is one of the largest and is always on the lookout for qualified employees... Just went on a trip there in July and one of the cousins was telling us that they were having trouble finding qualified help. Just a shot in the dark here...

He may need to move south, my son is in the engineering program at UNC Charlotte. He went to a job fair last week and he said that most of the companies there were saying that there are not enough people to fill all the available jobs.

He is in his first year and only went to get drink coozies.

UNCC claims that 91% of their engineers find work within 6 months of graduation, and the ones who don't are in graduate school.

My apologies to my southern brothern for inviting a Yankee to come south, but if Willy's boy is anything like his dad, he is good people.

Thanks Brother, much appreciated. Jobs are not as available as it seems. He is still on the hunt though working now with a good company doing engineering and project management. His love is Aerospace Engineering though and he is keeping his eye open.
