Just what I prefer and have used for 46 years . I have been to the ATA shows several times over the years and it is just crazy !! every year some one thinks they have the greatest thing since flint. I dont use SCENT LOCK or any of that high priced $hit made to make a great hunter out of a city slicker $$$$$, I use natural things and stuff my grandfather and dad taught me , and guess what ? My freezer is full every winter !!
Thanks for the tip pretty funny I do have some camo mostly given to me. I use cow in heat piss for elk just becouse I get pretty close some times but for the most part I use the wind and the lay of the land. Then sneek up in to there bed room and night night. Kind of no frills hunting but very sucessfull!

I am from the deep south. Down here we simply train our pet gators to catch our deer. The dogs catch the squirrel and possum and if the fish are biting, or scallop season is in, well thats the preverbial buffet working right there.

Who knew the Wellcraft crowd were such outdoorsmen?

Willy-nothing beats a good bird hunt IMO. Watching the dogs work, you know you'd be damn lucky to scratch up a bird or two without them. I don't care if it is Bob White from a pen or Ringnecks in HI. On the wing does it for me.

I hit the front shoulder blade at 15 yards with a 100 Gr rage broad head. I called her in from over 300 yards. The arrow only penatrated 6-8" and wack she took two steps and it fell out. She then ran out into the field and watched me for 15 min then ran across the river and into the bedding areas.
Makes me sick!! Worst of all I had my boy with me and he thinks I can't shoot good now.

Well it sucks that you hit the sholder blade but at least you know that is all that happened. She will be sore for a little while but won't have any lasting effects from the hit.

You will make the next shot and your little guy will think you are fantastic again. That is the great thing about kids.
