ByGrace, I want to render an opinion, so take it for what it is worth but here it goes. You have a nice dual console now with a sea drive on it. That makes it the best kind of candidate for a bracket you can get. Second, its dual console, you will be able to fish around that just about as well as a center console. Third when you and a buddy or two want to make a run it will give you some protection from wind and spray and if you want to pick up an enclosure you can button up nice.
I guess what I'm saying is what you have is about as flexible a boat as can be made with great potential to be powered with what many consider the best engine arrangement there is and you don't need to go anywhere but your driveway. IMHO

Hi Willy,

CB's right, those are wise words.

Thank you so much for your well thought out advice. I will have to think long and hard about what you've said.

You have a great memory, by the way ;)

Nah Oz, actually I am a happy man. This 85 V20 I got needs some adjusting, like height of engine on the bracket and normal 20 year old boat things to be updated. But I went out last season with it 7 times and am tickled pink with it. I have had the good fortune of having friends with several premium boats over the years and none of them give me anything more than what this cuddy full transom and bracket combo give me for my needs. If I was a canyon runner I'd get a dual engine 25-27 footer. If I lived in Fla I'd own that and a skinny water skooter. But for inshore stuff I do and the inlets and highly changeable wind conditions I seem to get here this boat is ideal. Keeps me high and dry, warm when cold. cool when the sun is blaring, rides better than my buddies 25 foot Grady, lots of storage so I don't have all my crap in ten places and it there is more room in the boat than a lot of much bigger boats.
Plus the super model entourage is nice and comfy, makes things easier on old Willy 8)
