well finaly got all the oak trim face boards riped down and mounted to the rod box frames, I used waterproof glue and small head finish screws to make a secure bond that will stand up for many years , next I will mount the original refinished rod holders and finish sanding and polly the whole thing . then onto making the new cabin door

Those are sweet---I can not wait to see them done and in.

Think I might have you do a set for me--that would be awesome.

Now add a couple led lights in the top of the boxs to light up the back deck in a nice glow. Just a idea for you--I did mine that way--great for seeing where you are walking in the dark.

Thanks , this has been a fun repair, I just finished final triming and sanding them down with 220 grit paper.I put 4 coats of RUSTOLIUM marine primer over all the backs of them (nice paint). Now it's time for the finish ? I have a QT. of MINWAX golden oak stain but am not sure if this will work on the teak wood and the white oak . I plan to spray 6 coats of clear satin polly over the whole box's (both fronts and backs , Any thoughts on stain and polly I am not to sure about using minwax for a marine setting ??

WOW---I need a set of these for my V-20---How much??

I will take them without a finish on them--just the way you have them now---thinking you might be able to do a second set faster? LOL

Excellent work, I did the same on my previous V, however yours clearly shows your hard work.
