UPDATE
She's much better, but the hard part (the operation) comes tomorrow morning. Left leg femur broken just before the bend into the hip ball. Operation puts a plate on the outside of the bone and a long screw into the ball to pull it tight against the other end of the bone. Doc says that she should be able to walk on it tomorrow evening!!!! (With soreness but still..!!.) He's very optimistic about the outcome of the operation...said that if she had to break the bone, that it was absolutely the best place to break it. But she still has to get over the operation itself. She doesn't tolerate anesthesia very well...so that's the huge stumbling block at this time. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS!!! This is one of those stories that has a happy ending. Although groggy when I saw her, she came thru the operation with no real hitches. Doc said there was a little bleeding during the operation, and because of some ostiporosis they had a little problem seating the screw in the ball, but it was minor. The end result is that they expect her to start rehap and be walking tomorrow. Prayers do work, and I think this is a perfect example. Thank you Jesus. Thank you everyone.
