No Jimmy show for me this year.... :'( Wife is due in a week with our second child...highly doubt she'd be ready to go!

Hammer.....I know you put a lot of work into her. Two guys made a lot of money on that deal while two were left holding the bag (ala you and me). Glad she is treating you well. Let me know before you list her on ebay....I might stop looking for now and just wait a few months till things settle down at work, home and on the boating front.

Yeah, what gives Hammer? Are you really thinking about selling? Why? Here's a little bit of the preacher coming out in me.

I think most of us have thought about selling our current V20s with the thought that there are better deals to be had on other V20s. For some, that may very well be the case, but not for all. Each of our boats may have its problems, but at least we know what they are... It's sort of like marriage.

You get married and then at times you may think that you would be better off with another person. But the thing is, you know your wife and she knows you. Yeah, life is hard sometimes, but that's the way life is. It doesn't get any easier just because you find another good looking hull with less spider cracks ;) or a newer and faster engine ;D There are a lot of unknowns about those other ones and there's always a reason the previous person is selling or divorcing or a reason why the person is single.

When times get hard, you try to work through them and when you do, you grow that much stronger and you appreciate what you have all the more. Nothing can replace the memories that the two of you share throughout the years. There may be a time when she gives up the ghost, so to speak. And when that happens, then you're free to marry another ;) But the thing is, that new marriage will also come with unique problems all of its own that you'll have to work through...

Anyway, all that to say, don't be too quick to give up on what you've got. I'm trying to practice what I'm preaching right now. There have been a number of times that I thought about selling my V20 in order to buy another one. But I've decided I'm going to try and stick it out for the long haul and see what happens. That doesn't mean I won't come to a point when I will choose to sell. It just means I'll give it my all before getting to that point.

Hey guys, I love my V-20 and as much as it sucked doing the work on her, I learned alot about boats. I truly dont want to sell her, but the wife wants to start a family and we need a bigger house, so I am thinking of ways of getting some quick cash in hand. That or work alot of overtime for extra cash. Hell, I'm off to court now .
:-/ so hopefully, I can manage without selling the boat, but time will tell.

Well, as Rosanne Rosanna Danna would say:

Never mind... :-[

I thought you were looking to get into another V20. My bad; I shouldn't have assumed.

I hope you're able to make it through without selling, but I totally understand that family must come before hobbies.

Hammer, even if you do sell (please don't) I hope you will continue to hang around and keep us company.

Good luck buddy.

Hammer work the OT brother, been there and done that for years, keep the boat and enjoy the time with your fine lady. You won't get that time back. It's cheap pleasure if you think about it. And in your case it works out as shining times for both you and her. Thats rare, bang a few more DUI's or whatever floats your OT down there and work it thru.
Try as best you can to never go backwards in life, it's hard to catch up, I know.

And where is Jimmy Buffet playing here in NJ, did not see any ads for it. Would love to see the man, big fan since 1974 but never seen him live :-/
