Thanks everyone!
Cb has it right, there are days better then others, and I know that this was for the better, but I sometimes think it would have been better to be fat and strong, then skinny and sick. I know this is a long road but I get sick of waitting for it.
My job has been great! I am out of work for a year today, and they for the most part payed me for all of it! I just wrote them a letter and got papers from doctor so they will extend my time out, not sure how much longer they will go?? but the pay has stopped at this point but they will hold the job a bit longer.
I hate to jump on the wagon with the rest of the country and go on disability, but I have started the app. for it, I think this is the only way to make?? I most likely able to get on it 5 years ago, but did not want to jump on that wagon, but now i have to.

barnegatV20 Glad you're getting stronger, hopefully you'll be at the raft up so I can properly shake your hand and introduce myself
I would love to go and meet you guys!, but AI would be more a burden to people that want to go and have fun! Hopefully I will get better at some point and be able to go another time?

I think you misunderstand MJ. That is exactly WHY disability was created, and why YOU have been paying into it for all these years.. It's SUPPOSED to be a safety net for people in your situation. Not the retirement cushion it has become by so many lazy people that just don't want to get up off their asses and actually work. Don't feel bad about using it. It's there for your use because you earned it.
As to the fat and healthy as opposed to thin and sick comment, I think I might have to disagreee with some of it. The point is, you were dying when you were fat and not so healthy. The diabeties was slowly killing you, and you know it. It's the still lingering effects of that sickness that are with you today and I would bet that they are causing most of your problems. You yourself said

But the diabetes is still killing me off! The last thing is Kidneys, they are at about 18%
My bet is that's a huge part of your present problems. (Which is why I said in my first post on this thread that prayers are continuing to be sent for your recovery). You'll make it boss.. just gotta let these things run their course.

I know you are right Destroyer, but I just get feeling down at times. Hoping that with a bit more time things wil turn around? Heck I abused my body the first 49 years and expect it to be perfect in just a few months.
As far as getting on disability goes, I have always did it on y own till now, I see so many kids today saying they are Bipolar and a host of other stupid crap, sucking off the system, that i don't want to be one of them!! But i told the lady at th SS office that hopefully this is going to be a temporary thing? and being a state worker I guess I will have to use up my retirement fund before i get ss as i don't pay state taxes, it goes in retirement fund instead. Still learning how this works??

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone, and hope i can post some good news at some point!

MJ,

I am pretty dense anyways but I didn't have a clue about the extent of many of your personal health issues. I'll just hope and pray that in the very near future all the health issues can take a back seat to what you really want to think about.

Has anyone ever thought about a Buzzards Bay raftup?

Thanks MB!

It was spoke of once before but died off pretty quick?? But I am sure that was because no one here grabbed the ball and ran with it!
We would need to find camp grounds, hotels and a launching point for all that would like to come. It would be great to do!

Well this reminds me of an old joke.

Two guys from the V20 forum are talking about a raft up. One says to the other "you should try to make it... there will be music, drinkin', dancin' and probably later on some real hot sex".

The other guy says "That sounds like a blast, Count me in! So who will be there?"

"So far it's just you and me."

Okay then, who's in...
