Ridge, I think Pete will agree...even he couldn't have dialed it in that close if you hadn't taken the initiative to ship the timing light and manual up here...onece again, THANKS Old Buddy...

And Spare, fret not...we put the timing cover on long enough to do the deal...the smiley face is still smilin'!!...

Stating the obvious, thats all. Being up front is the best policy.

No bad juju on that one. Besides

Frankenmotors never seem to blow. Those parts and pieces have already survived the test of time. Just a bugger if you need to order parts. Is it a '87 or a '97

You need to switch to braid. no stretch. no worries.

Good call...Mike and I had discussion of spooling up some larger reels w/braid after losing those fish...it may be time, but old habits die hard...specially when you ARE an old habit!!...LOL!!...

I think I showed you the one an only (so far) rig I have braid on...Immediately noticed less stretch in working a top-water twitch-lure...less input...more action...me likey!!

learn to tie a uni knot, then learn to tie a uni to uni. After you get used to it, you won't have any problems. I use the uni to uni to attach a length of flourocarbn line to the braid, then you can use any regular knot on the flouro, if you're working a jig, tie a non-slipping loop knot at the jig, that way it will wiggle naturally
