[QUOTE=spareparts;180879]hey Lee, the family and I are going back up to Kitty Hawk over Christmas, you need to get that V ready, I feel a striper trip is in order[/QUOTE
My plan is this Saturday to try and get the hydraulic cylinders off and get them to a good hydraulic supply shop to be repaired. I'm not gonna miss a ocean season.

You could just leave your boat and stop by and pick me and my boat up since it is right on the the way. I have got to get this thing in the water.

We'll be going too. Typically we have 2 - 3 boats in our posse.

I think we should watch the weather and reports. The bite has been anything but predictable the past 2 seasons (for us anyway).

Haven't been to Oregon Inlet in 2 years but when we used to go there we had good luck from mid to late December until late January. A few trips around my birthday (1/11) and those were always good. But like I said, hard to predict the past couple years.

One thing is for certain - this ol' boy has all but forgotten what striper tastes like. So sad......

One other thing, with the black sea bass closure being south of Cape Hatteras light, I was thinking it would be cool to get an early limit of striper and then do some nearshore bottom dropping for the BSB and triggers or whatever else comes over the rail.
