I went to start my engine yesterday and noticed my fuel bulb had lost its prime completely. I removed the water separator and it was empty. Removed the fuel line from the tank, covered the hole and pumped the bulb, I felt suction so I put it back together.
The bulb is primed and fuel is in the carbs but I cannot get it to run. It will fire momentarily then shut down. I have never had a problem losing prime and it was just ran about 2 1/2 weeks ago. Could there be a problem with the fuel pump. What could cause a loss of prime then a no start condition? It is almost as if it is out of fuel (there is plenty in it).
