Dry weight is 1900+ with a 500 # motor, and 60 gal gas 400# I say you safe at about 3000 pounds + gear and such, and people all of 4000+ I hope that helps some

I think MJ has hit pretty close. Check here in the albums in the history section. Doesn't go back to '76 but you'll get pretty close with this info.
