Why can't you use acetone, then rewax?

I used lacquer thinner on the Shark tonight. *It does work with a little elbow grease. *After I get both sides cleaned of the paint I'll rub it out and wax. *Bill Mc ;D

I have not removed the entire shark yet. It does not appear to be stained but sort of like what other people have said they get when they remove letters. I won't be back to the boat til after Easter. I finish the job, post pictures and let you know about the whole experience. Bill Mc

I got both Sharks removed today. *I tried acetone but it was too quick. *I used lacquer thinner and a pot scrubber. *There was no staining. *It looks just like when you remove lettering.
