Well, I did some more work on the V today. A bit more sanding and grinding. I layed in some more cloth up over teh width of teh transom, but had problems for the first time. The cloth was well wetted out, but it just wouldnt hold the form wrapping overtop of the transom. I finally cut some scrap pieces and that seemed to work. Looks like crap. Now have more sanding to do.
Also started pulling screws out and addind in some west system filler.
After that, the bugs started eating me alive. *:-/

Looks crappy, but she's on her way of getting reborn again. ;D

I've always heard it was near impossible to square off corners with glass mat. I guess you proved that :-/

Hold the phone and wait for some Skools Dual advice 8)

4" grinder will fix the problem along with some bondo I hope. Thought about using a thinner/lighter cloth, but didnt want to loose any strenght. Hope to have her cleaned up a bit more this week.

My buddy just pulled a motor today. Guy blew it up and went with a new E-Tec. The boat has 60 gallons of 50/1 fuel that needs pumped out. It's for free, so I might be pumping out fuel for teh next day or so. ;D

just needed a old coffee can to roll on it to get smooth and don't add to much cloth to thick or you will make the transom to heavy.

hammer, with the west system, do you have to wash the "blush" off between layers?

Not sure Phats. I sand between coats and clean with acetone.
