My Brother has a 96 Evinrude 150. It's very reliable but thirsty. The 150 burns about 2.1 MPG @ 4000rpm (floscan). His boat is identical to the v20 in length and weight.

For comparison my 200 Yamaha averaged 2.8 MPG @ 4000rpm .
