Saturday bream then inshore report....

Man what a beautiful day!! My buddy James and I started out at Dead lake trying to get on some bream action. We quickly realized that this was not the ticket for the day. We could not buy a bite!! James caught one nice keeper and that was it! We then reevaluated and decided to head back to Mobile, trade in our dingy for a more capable vessel and go to Dauphin Island.

We made our way to the Island and pulled the net for some bait. We caught some nice bait sized croakers and some good quality shrimp. Here are a few of the better quality shrimp:






The action was really slow. I managed to get ahold of a nice sheepie on my Billystix which was a lot of fun. Thanks Billy, I love my rod!!! 8)





We struggled along as I caught two nice slot reds and that was it for the day. They were 24” and 241/2”.

All in all it was a beautiful day and I had a great time hangin out with James. 8)
