jersey blues! nice job. I took my 5y.o. little Charlie out yesterday on "his" boat, I also have a 15 duranautic w/ 35 evinrude, we got a mess of coctails. I dont eat bluefish but I like catching them...so does Charlie, enough so that I upgraded him to a 6ft. uglystick w/Penn 4400SS,10lb. test.He lands 'em every time!

Phester, it's a combination cooler/swingback seat that mounts to the floor with six screws. I do occationally take it out; It can be kind of in the way when trying to land big fish.
For calm'er activities , like fluke fishing or crabbing, it can be very handy to have..

Hey do yall eat those?

They are considered a nuisance here. Ive eaten them, but they are pretty strong. They do get ALOT bigger up there though..fun to catch. 8)

Stinky, I love small bluefish under 3 lbs or so. Double fillet, remove dark strip from meat, batter and fry. Same day is best but it'll last a day in a ziplock in the fridge. I wouldn't try to freeze any though. Meat is oily and doesn't freeze well.

Its some really good eating despite what you might hear from others. The sad fact is that the ones that don't like it probably ate a piece of that dark strip down the middle due to a poor job cleaning the fish. Either that or tried to freeze and eat a month later :-/

I like it almost as good as flounder (fluke).
