Bradford has a good point.
At 12 years and 950 hrs, I believe I have already gotten my $10k out of my engine. I can afford to keep it going as long as I am confident in it. I wouldn't buy it for $5k...I would sell it for $5k and buy a new one...

I love my Johnzuki 140 four stroke.

You rarely see a used one for sale because everyone who has them loves them.

NADA says average retail is $4125 for an 06, so $5k isn't outrageous for a clean, low hour motor.

Bought it

$5k for motor, controls, ss prop and install.(so with the install i basically paid $4250 for the motor) It started right up on a 30 degree afternoon, showed 293 hours on the computer.

Nice!!!!

What prop does it have, I find the 14x21 best for cruising and 14xnineteen the best for pulling tubes and skiers.

Both of my props are aluminum, I know SS props are a little different.
