Yet another reason why I like to launch in the Hackensack and get to Sandy Hook that way. Only a few areas where I have to slow down. Going under bridges and such... But yes, I have to agree on the shore and No Wake Zones. When I lived in Toms River and launched in Forked River near the state marina it was at least a 15-20 minute run in no wake zones

its about 7 miles from where i launch to the gulf. the first 5-6 hundred yards is a no wake zone because there's a boat yard there, after that, let her rip. mercury test facility is located on the same bayou. they run everything under the sun out of there. not uncommon to see them running 50 -60 mph in the bay .

hope u enjoy the camera, skunk. which one did you get?

getting the Black edition with a bunch of stuff, 2 extra batteries, 64gb card, some tripod//grippy stands.
I'm sure I'll need more ways to mount it and maybe a head or chest mount.
Didn't order the lcd screen but will probably need it. In Italy I'll have to watch what I did and delete junk or I'll run out of space on the cards.
Is it easy to connect to phone using bluetooth and see what you are taking?

it seems to be pretty easy with an ipad & iphone. my phone is android platform and it seems to struggle, might be the phones fault, not the app. works good on my ipad . the great thing about digital is shoot all you want and throw away the bad stuff. my son dabbled with the editing software and said it's not bad at all for free.
as stated, i have only had this one since tuesday, so i am still a newbie and i am a technology challenged, so please let me know any tricks and tips you discover.

I can't get over how stable the video is. That was pretty cool.
