Default happy birthday captain.......

Cousteau would have been 104 today. I loved him. he helped to begin my affair with the sea.

Without a doubt, Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom and Jacques Cousteau. Right up there with Lassie and Flipper in my book. Simply some of the best childhood memories and dreams came from those shows. Not to deminish the love for the water or what the good capitain accomplished, he was the Pioneer of all things Oceanic..

One of my child hood mentors. Watched all his shows on public tv. Have a lot of his books on my bookshelf still. Pretty sweet gig he had being able to troll around the world diving in all the different locales. Those kids on Flipper had it made too.

And he would takei all the relatives down the icw eating fresh shrimp at sunset!!!!! I miss those days so much!!!!! If any of you listen to jimmy buffett listen to the song the captain and the kid. I'm waiting on Capt. Crunch's birthday. That's a real reason to celebrate. Never forget once we were out on my buddies Grady cruising around. My daughters were little and we saw a boat called catp crunch. Kids laughed. Then we see another grady and my oldest says, "Look daddy, its a Grandy White" I bought split my pants laughing. LOL!
