Thanks T. *;)

Well, as I said, with all this rain, I decided to work on something else. Yanked out the fuel hatch cover and started tearing out the soaked 30 year old wood.

The wood just fell out, making things really easy.

Almost cleaned up.

Ok, here is where some of you might bust on me. I had wood left over from the transom, so instead of one solid piece, I added in pieces. Figured if all those small pieces last 30 years, 5 pieces will last just as long. PLUS, I didnt want to spend more $$ on a sheet and get stuck with more leftover wood. Still believe the strenght is in the cloth and resin, not the wood. Guess we shall see soon enough. ;)

Me thinks you'll be just fine Hammer. Maybe an extra layer of glass just in case, but it'll do. It's a shame that you'll never be able to afford to sell this boat ;D

Can't help myself. If your replacing wood, why are you putting wood back?
I know the industry hasen't provided us with an economical alternative but it just drives me crazy to fix an old problem with a new problem.
Keep us posted hammer, that is the only appropriate measure.
AND IT LOOKS GOOD.

Thanks guys. ;)
Still need to sand the wood and ruff her up a bit. Hoping to resin on Saturday. Using car batteries for weight while she sets up. 8)
